Akwa Ibom governor, Udom Emmanuel, has sacked all the commissioners in his cabinet. A statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Etekamba Umoren, announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council.  The statement advised all the commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries in their ministries. No reason was given for the decision. The statement said, “The Governor expresses his deep and profound appreciation for the contributions of the EXCO members to the development of the state, and wishes them success in their future endeavours. Most of the serving commissioners were from the administration of his predecessor, Godswill Akpabio.

 Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, has disclosed that former skipper Vincent Enyeama will return to the national team if Nigeria qualifies for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition. The German stated this in an interview with CompleteSports. He responded with an answer that indicated that he made a successful attempt to call Enyeama and convince him to return from retirement to a question that was directed to him on if he will replace the arguably best goalkeeper in Africa with Carl Ikeme due to his recent impressive performance for the Super Eagles. According to him, both Carl and Enyeama will be very good goalkeepers for the Eagles, acting as surrogations for each other. Former Jaguars linebacker Quentin Groves died this weekend at the age of 32, the team announced. A first-team all-SEC star at Auburn, Groves was taken by the Jags with the 52nd overall selection in the second round of the 2008 draft. Groves played two seasons in Jacksonville before making stops in Oakland, Arizona, Cleveland, Tennessee and Buffalo. He tallied 175 combined tackles, five forced fumbles and 9.5 sacks in seven seasons in the NFL.  "Quentin was an outstanding man, on and off the field," former teammate Marcedes Lewis said in a statement released by the Jaguars. "He made everyone around him better and always had a smile on his face. He pushed every day in practice and was a fierce competitor. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend two seasons with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family on this incredibly sad day." He is survived by his wife and two children. 

 Kim Kardashian is tightening up her security as it was learnt that she will now be traveling in armored cars and her bodyguards will be armed with machine guns. TMZ revealed that her new security detail includes former members of the Secret Service, who will be armed to the teeth. There will be at least one team of two hired muscles (minimum) everywhere she goes. We’re also told her car will be “armored”. Reports have it that Kim met with some ex-special force members from the Israeli army, ex-CIA agents as well as former Secret Service members following the Paris robbery.
