#2023: PDP CHANCES IN SOUTH WEST, SOUTH EAST SLIM - FAYOSE

Image
Former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose has doubted the chances of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winning the South-West and South-East in the 2023 presidential election. He said the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi could affect the chances of PDP in the 2023 polls. Fayose said this in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday.       According to him: “Let me give you an analysis. In the South-West, people might not like to hear this; but I don’t see how PDP will win. Anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us. “I don’t see how PDP will win in the South-East. South-south will be a combination of all interests. Let me come to the key states of the north. “Without deceiving ourselves, there is so much work to do in the north-central.       “PDP and APC did not pick any candidate, either presidential or vice-presidential, from the north-central. The North-East is where the vice-president...

Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has stated his Labour Party (LP) counterpart Peter Obi would not know the road to lead as President. He spoke on Tuesday at the APC presidential campaign flag-off at the Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos, Plateau State. He said: “Peter Obi, Haaa! This Obidient. He lives in Lagos not in Anambra. He doesn’t know the road. We will return him to Anambra. LEAVE SOLUDO ALONE - SAM OMATSEYE

Image
Leave Soludo alone By Sam Omatseye       I don’t see why some persons are not happy with Anambra State governor for saying what he knows about one of his bumbling predecessors who does not know how to invest. The governor did not originate the question. Why accuse him for saying what he knew. Chukwuma Soludo did not even show zeal about the subject. He was dismissive in attitude. He said the investment is worth nothing. Then the usual irate mob started lobbing stones. It is like Jesus said to the Jews, “You seek to kill me for telling you the truth.” The Labour candidate’s sin is bad enough, but that is not the fellow’s worst offence against Anambra. What of the investment of Anambra money in his family business, or his offshore account, or the NEXT supermarket built while on the throne?       Soludo is a man of accountability. A former CBN governor would not and should not have done less in his interview on Channels. Failed governorship candidate Babatunde...

Arise TV had reported that INEC has commenced investigation into a case of criminal forfeiture against Tinubu. But in a retraction on Sunday morning, the Management of Arise TV apologised over the fake report after INEC publicly dismissed it as fake. I WILL QUIT CAMPAIGN IF ANYBODY CAN PROVE I ACCEPTED LAND GIFT AS ANAMBRA GOV - PETER OBI

Image
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi says he will quit campaigns for the 2023 general elections if anyone can prove that he accepted land gift as governor of Anambra State. The 61-year-old former governor stated this on Friday at the palace of the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, in Edo State. The LP presidential flag bearer visited the revered Benin monarch when he and his team stormed Edo for campaigns ahead of next February’s polls. Receiving the politician in his palace, Oba Ewuare II used the opportunity to clarify a viral document where Obi rejected land allocation from the Anambra State Government while he was a serving governor.       “Your Excellency, somebody show me a letter where land was given to you in your state and you politely returned it that you don’t need it; that you are there to serve and so on. Correct?” the first-class monarch asked. “Very correct,” Obi responded. “If anybody sees a piece of land allotted ...

Image
The National Chairman of the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Thursday told the party's presidential candidate Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu to get ready for governance from 29 May 2023.  Adamu, who spoke emphatically at the town hall meeting in Lafia between the APC presidential candidate and stakeholders in the mining sector, said he was merely echoing President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement.        A statement in Abuja by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga quoted Adamu as saying: "Except God, President Buhari is the highest authority in Nigeria today. Buhari has said it and it shall come to pass.''  Urging Tinubu to stand and the audience to join him, Adamu declared the APC candidate will be the next president.  He urged Nigerians to vote massively for the party and its candidate.  He urged Tinubu to get ready for the task to shoulder the de...

2023: You Will Win If You Stay Away From Women, Avoid Strong Drink - Amaechi Tells Rivers APC       Immediate past Minister of Transportation and former Rivers State governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has cautioned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State against illicit acts that could distance them from God. He therefore, urged the APC members to be more dedicated to God in prayer and abstain from all appearances of immorality, including fornication, adultery and strong drinks if they actually wanted to hear from God. Amaechi, who spoke yesterday, during the unveiling of manifesto and inauguration of the campaign council of Mr Tonye Cole and Dr. Innocent Barikor’s joint governorship ticket in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, said their victory in the 2023 general election was assured if they adhered to the advice.       Recalling his political struggle in 2006, which compelled him to flee the country to Ghana, Amaechi encouraged ...
