Kelechi Iheanacho Beats Ronaldo To Win CNN Goal of The Week

Kelechi Iheanacho has won the CNN goal of the week award for his impressive strike in Nigeria's 2-1 win against Zambia in last Sunday's Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying fixture.

The youngster won overwhelmingly with 75% votes while Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo came second with 20% of the votes.

Nigerian-born Malta star Alfred Effiong and Ivan Aguilar came third and fourth respectively.

The Manchester City forward scored the Super Eagles' second goal in the 42nd minute of the encounter, dribbling past the Chipolopolo goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene before slotting the ball home despite spirited efforts from the hosts' defenders.
